So I'm engaged. I never really thought about being engaged before. I thought about being married, and I knew a lot about being single, but engaged is that in between stage where you're still dating, but know that you are, at some point in the near future, not going to be dating anymore. You'll be hitched. The old ball and chain. Which is a lot like dating, but with joint taxes and shared bank accounts and less of the "living in sin" thing. It doesn't sound that strange I guess, but it feels pretty alien.
I also never really thought that much about the actual wedding part that happens before the being married part. I never imagined what dress I would wear, or what my wedding colors would be, or how I would arrange my place cards. Because of that I never really knew that I was supposed to take engagement pictures, nor do I know when I'm supposed to start shopping for wedding dresses and I have no idea how much renting chairs costs. So here I am, engaged and in need of wedding planning skills that I don't have. So lets begin.
